Jacobabad is the capital city of Jacobabad District, Sindh, Pakistan. The city is also the administrative centre of Jacobabad Taluka, an administrative subdivision of the district, the city is subdivided into 8 Union Councils. The city is crossed by the Pakistan Railways and many main roads of the province. Jacobabad has the reputation of being one of the hottest places in the world from April until September.
