Ocotepeque is a town and municipality in the Ocotepeque Department of Honduras. Located 15 miles from El Salvador and Guatemala, Ocotepeque is one of the first municipalities encountered when traveling between the countries. One area of interest near the town is the Trifinio biosphere reserve, a nature preserve shared among Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
