West Java (Indonesian: Jawa Barat; Sundanese: Jawa Kulon; acronym: Jabar), with a population around 43 million, is the most populous province of Indonesia. Located on the island of Java, it is slightly smaller in area than densely populated Taiwan, but nearly double the population. Its capital city is Bandung. Area: 34,816.96 km2 (13,442.9 sq mi).
